The Forbidden Apple: From China With Love!

Ok, this is some bizarre (but true) news coming straight out of China. A teenage girl did the unthinkable by offering her ‘priceless’ virginity on Weibo (Chinese version of Twitter), posting a photo of herself along with some personal information for anyone that is willing to give her an iPhone 4 in return.

Some responders told the teen the iPhone wasn't worth her virginity, while others told her to wait for the iPhone 5, which could be out as early as September and may pack an 8-megapixel camera.

Earlier this month, a 17-year-old Chinese student sold his kidney on the black market for $3,400, used in part to buy an iPad 2 and a laptop.

"I wanted to buy an iPad 2 but could not afford it," the boy, known as Zheng, said. "A broker contacted me on the Internet and said he could help me sell one kidney for 20,000 yuan."

The boy's mother became suspicious when her son came home with several devices.

As bizarre as these reports are, several other instances demonstrate that some will do whatever it takes to get their hands on Apple's latest devices.

I can't help but wonder what people are going to trade for the iPhone 5 when it eventually comes out... maybe the entire brain or something more vital. The unguarded love of Apple is often the beginning of asininity!
